Seeking Full Time Summer Communications Assistant

• 37 hours/week

FriendMatch is seeking a full time Student Communications Assistant this summer for a role that includes a mix of Public Relations, Media Relations, and Marketing.

This position is offered remotely with flexible hours from home, checking in with your supervisor via email and video meetings.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter and excellent communicator who embraces pitching new ideas and finding creative ways to achieve results, enrolled in a post-secondary setting in the field of communications, PR, marketing, or Creative Communications, and looking to build your experience in media relations.

Position Duties:

• Create and implement a social media posting schedule
• Assist in creation of a Press Kit
  • Includes creation of fact sheets on selected topics
  • A contact sheet
  • Photos
  • Three success stories which you will source from our members on FriendMatch.com
• Develop and implement a strategy and schedule for pitching stories to the media in the United Kingdom and the United States
  • Includes writing news releases
  • Work with a mix of radio, print, online news and online articles, and bloggers
• Meetings and Reporting
  • Video meetings with your supervisor
  • Email correspondence
• Other communications duties as assigned

Seeking Full Time Summer ACE Student

• 15 Weeks, flexible hours.
• Remote Work Opportunity – Work from anywhere.

FriendMatch.com is seeking a summer student to build an app version of its website, to be available on the Google Play and Apple stores.

The right candidate will be able to build a web-app version of the desktop site, with some minor customizations.

Familiarity with Joomla, php, and mysql will help you in this role.

In this 15 week full time position, you have the option to work fully remotely from with video meetings (either via Zoom, Whatsapp, Webex, or in-person, if Covid restrictions are lifted and you feel safe doing so.)

Additional incentives will be offered to complete the app early.

Start date is ASAP.
